The task of that assignment was to redesign the cover of an existing book in a more modern form for its new 5th edition. Same amount of photographs, almost same composition, practically same classical typeface.

On the left you can see the old version, on the right there is the new version that we redesigned. Why does the new version looks more modern ?

We tried to reorganize simply the placement of the authors, to simplify the typography and define the hierarchy, while using more vivid photography. The combination of all these elements are giving more readability and a new look to the entire cover.
